In order to successfully ‘reuse’ or ‘reclaim’ a facility in a manner in which it was NOT intended or originally designed, the owner and architect must be willing to accept an interesting and exciting challenge. Arconcepts has enjoyed success in their application of creativity and ingenuity in the past conversions of Warehouse Space into Golf Course Clubhouses, Industrial Space into Baseball Training Facilities, and Spec Office Space into Multi-use Retail Developments, just to name a few.
Arconcepts has been involved in a variety of Airport Concessions Programs throughout the world and continues to create exciting and invigorating venues for a multitude of uses. From Retail to Food and Beverage to Service venues, the Arconcepts team is deliberate and thoughtful in their design approach in order to provide each airport with a unique environment for the ever-changing needs and desires of the evolving traveler. Arconcepts has been involved in an array of automotive, industrial and manufacturing related projects including research & development and computer/data facilities. Arconcepts provides the user and owners with specific expertise, creating a total integration of the function, facility, and end-user’s needs and operations.
Arconcepts engages in multi-faceted levels of conceptual design, ranging from site planning to architectural definition, as a component of our process for initiating and developing the overall project documentation.
Commercial and Office development projects include corporate entities as well as general office design. In order to create successful commercial and office space, the architect/designer must integrate the philosophy of each end-user with the constraints/limitations of the environment in which it resides.
Projects involving financially oriented uses have evolved throughout the years. Our expertise includes new construction as well as a variety of facility renovations / adaptive re-use of older facilities. Financial institutions have become a ‘retail’ oriented business, each selling their products by way of the architectural character of their facility, comfort of the customer base, and overall representation of their ‘brand’. Arconcepts’ ability to convey these necessary attributes is evident throughout Metropolitan Detroit and the Financial arena.
Golf Courses have evolved into extended multi-use facilities over the years. The emphasis in Golf Course Design involves an extensive integration of the Clubhouse / Banquet Facilites, Practice / Hitting Tees, Putting Greens, Training / Teaching Facilities, and other miscellaneous attributes on the grounds of the overall Golf Course property.
High-end single-family and multi-family developments involve a level of design and planning expertise unique to standard residential design. In order to rise above the status quo, Arconcepts applies the experiences of commercial design as well as psychological interpretation to their concepts and delivers a well balanced, distinctive experience to the homeowner / occupant.
Food and Beverage / Restaurants have been one of Arconcepts’ primary areas of design expertise. The food industry includes many facets of design including restaurants, cafeterias, bakeries, coffee / barista shops, grab-n-go, and a multitude of other types. Arconcepts has developed many unique and exciting environments for food, beverage and relaxation by the consumer which can be enjoyed throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
Retail development is a unique arena for design. The projects in which Arconcepts has been involved in include locations throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Germany, Hong Kong and Dubai. Retail design must take on the personality of the surrounding environment and those who will be frequenting the stores. This ability to visualize and create with this understanding is evident by the successful retail projects Arconcepts has completed.
Since 2001, the collaboration between various owner-management teams and Arconcepts has created the avenue by which we re-develop ‘tired’ or ‘closed’ theatres by incorporating many new concepts and “bringing new life into older theatres facilities”. Each theatre project creates a showplace for the specific community in which they are established. By testing new ideas and making cost-effective improvements to each facility, attendance and revenues at each venue is substantially increased.
Arconcepts has also been actively involved in the design of “ground-up” theatre construction projects. The experiences in developing theatre projects with our client’s corporate team include locations throughout the United States, including recent IMAX projects.
