Building programming in its simplest form involves establishing the requirements of a project. Programming led by architects can provide clients with a systematic process for decision making about organizational and project values, goals, and requirements.
The need for programming services by the Architect has become an essential element of construction due to the increasing complexity of buildings and building systems. In addition, clients have become much more involved in the understanding and managing of their physical resources.
FACILITY PLANNING / SPACE PLANNING
Facility planning involves the process of translating our clients’ business plans into a short term or long term facility plan, with appropriate alternatives. Traditional space planning is involved in this phase. Arconcepts provides an analysis of how much and what kinds of space our clients need, what time period our clients need the space, the sequencing of moving into the space, where the space will be located, what adjacency requirements are required, and what the expansion/change abilities are for the space.
As we block our interior spatial areas, define circulation patterns, and develop plans and layouts for furniture and equipment placement, we are performing “preliminary design services”. During this phase, Arconcepts incorporates many design parameters including our client’s project goals and priorities, organizational structure and relationships and space allocation criteria.
